There hasn't been much progress on the outside of our house for several weeks because they have been busy doing all of the electrical, plumbing, etc. But we have FINALLY moved on from that stage and this week is all about wrapping up our house in chic, black paper then layering it with some material that looks to me like chicken wire. Perhaps it is chicken wire, I can't really be sure. What I am sure of is that they are moving very quickly with this step and that can only mean one thing, drywall is coming up soon! In fact, I may have peeked inside the first lot in phase 2. Actually, I may have gone upstairs and walked around. And I may have found that the drywall is completely installed on the second floor. Seeing that they had drywall installed was almost as exciting as it being in our house. Almost.

Romance junkie, that's me
A few weeks ago I found myself down an Instagram rabbit hole and came across a gal who made these beautiful signs. I just had to have the one with the Emily Bronte quote from Wuthering Heights. It arrived today. LOVE. Can't wait to find a nice wall in the new house to hang it on.

SOLD
After a few back and forth negotiations, we sold our house tonight! It is a bittersweet feeling. I absolutely love our current home, but obviously am so excited for what this new chapter will bring for our family.
Toasting the sale of our house. Time to start packing. Good thing I'm sleeping with a packaging guy. What?! Boxes and bubble wrap can be expensive. Wink. And a quick disclaimer, I am NOT a fan of the camera shooting straight up at me (yikes) but Hayden was the only photographer around and beggars can't be choosers.

Au Revoir design center
This afternoon was my final meeting at the design center. I brought Preston who finally got to see all of my choices laid out in front of him. He affectionately and supportively told me he loved it all. I am a lucky girl who gets cart blanche regarding the design of our house. Today we had to sign off on all the flooring. I just can't wait to see the final product. Is it fall yet?????
Some of our flooring samples
It was super exciting seeing my design for the entryway drawn up
